I just noticed in my text messages when typing the text box only get so big then I can't see the words because they are under the keyboard. But if I close the keyboard I can see the words. It didn't do this before. I think the app updated and now is doing it. Is there a way to change it back?

I have the same problem with my s23. Samsung needs to fix this problem as it appears to be a problem for many users.

My issue seems to have fixed itself. Hopefully everyone else's issue gets resolved too.

I too have this problem with the messaging app on my S24.  I was able to switch back to the older messaging app, the one with the three dots.  That is working fine, doesn't have the problem.

My ones similar but in gmail when composing an email. It covers the email box and you can't see what you are writing.

I figured it out! I don't know if it will work for everyone due to different Samsung devices, but it worked for me.

Go to settings and seach for Camera Cutout (option might be named something different depending on device). Set any apps where the keyboard blocks your typing to SHOW camera cutout.

Hello, I have the same issue in email. As I type, the typing area does not scroll upwards, until my typing is obscured because it is below the keyboard.

This should not work this way.

Having this issue in multiple apps. Has been this way since my phone force updated to iฬถOฬถSฬถ OneUI 7. I'm so sick of it, and the fact that it hasn't been patched tells me all I need to know about the Samsung dev team. Obviously they are not concerned with end-users, only focused creating new useless features for the marketing team. This S24 Ultra may seriously be my last Samsung device.

This was frustrating, but here is the fix that worked for me.

Go to Settings > General Management > Samsung Keyboard settings

1) "Reset to default settings" > "Reset keyboard settings"
2)  "Mode"
- For both modes under "Portrait view" and "Landscape view", ensure that "Standard keyboard" is set for both.

Hope this helps.
