Is there a way to turn off the sound that plays when the volume is turned on?

And to stop the vibration from happening when the volume is set to silent? (3rd screenshot)

I found the setting that changes the type of sound that plays (System Sound Theme), but it still plays, despite setting the level to zero (2nd screenshot). I find all of the options annoying since the recent One UI 7 update so would like to turn it off completely. I think before this latest update the sound was unobtrusive or nonexistent. I don't remember noticing it at all. Now I'm noticing it every time I turn the volume back to on and it's irritating.

I'm referring to the noise/vibration that happens when I toggle this button on the drop down menu:

@userPX27ZN0w6A Yeah, I think the sound panel has its own sound. I don't mind it, barely even registers with me.  In playing around with the different sound sliders, I discovered it's controlled by the ringtone volume.  If you turn the ringtone volume down, that sound does not play. So, one has to decide which is more annoying, hearing the momentary sound, or not hearing your ringtones.

You can create a routine where the ringtone is muted at all times, except when a phone call comes in.  Seems unnecessary, though.

No, there's no way to turn that off. There has always been a sound when toggling between sound/vibrate/silent or increasing/decreasing volume. They may have changed the actual system sound, but there has always been one.

Thanks for confirming. I must have been so used to the old sound that it didn't register any more. I just started noticing it after the update. I don't understand why they don't include the old sounds as options for those of us who want them.

The only thing you can do is mute or lower the system sound volume, but then you will not hear any system sounds.  If you do not like the actual sound, you can change the system sound from a limited menu of sounds. Settings/sounds and vibration/system sound/system sound theme, choose the sound.

I just tested it. That doesn't change the sound that plays when changing volume or toggling between sound modes. It's hard-coded.

Thank you. It does get quieter when I lower the ring volume. I hadn't noticed that until you mentioned it.

To clarify, the volume gets lower but it does not mute all the way. It still makes a slight sound when the ringtone volume is all the way off. This is when I use the buttons on the side to increase/decrease the ringtone, which is my what I have those buttons set for.

I was able to turn down the volume by turning the ringtone volume down with the side buttons. It does not go away completely when the ringtone is set to mute. There is still a sound when I toggle the button on the drop down menu back to on, but it's at least quiet enough that it's not so annoying anymore.
