Galaxy S22Hi everyone,
Does anyone know what these dots are on my Samsung S22 Ultra?
My phone is brand new and I have always taken good care of it since I received it.
I was on a call with a friend on Discord when suddenly I saw these four dots appear on my phone.
At first I thought it was a spec of dust and I tried used a wipe to clean it off, but they didn't go away.
Afterwards I tried taking a screenshot and they don't show up on my screenshot either.
Does anyone know how to get rid of them?
I really hope it's not due to a defect with my display or anything like that.
A huge thanks to anyone and everyone who decides to help me with my issue.

Galaxy S22I have changed the wallpaper but the problem persists.
I go on Discord and I start a call, I quit the call and then I see the same issue.
After some seconds it goes back to normal

Galaxy S22Sorry to say it looks like pixel loss. Does it appear in the same spot on your home screen and in apps? If it does, it's a screen defect. You need to have it evaluated at a repair center. If it is dead pixels, it will only continue to get worse.

Galaxy S22Yes, the problem persists on the same area on my phone.
But my phone is brand new, I just got it a little more then a week ago.
Do you think it might be due to a display manufacturing defect or can it be because of personal misuse?

Galaxy S22It may be brand new, but it's an S22, an older phone. It's possible that it's a factory defect, it's also possible that conditions in the warehouse in which it was stored all this time were not optimal. If it's brand new and not used, it should still be under warranty. That's why you have to get it evaluated at an authorized service center. Do you have a uBreakiFix location near you? Is it returnable to the place you bought it? In any case, in the support tab of the Members app, you can find a service location. You can also call Samsung for service.

Galaxy S22A relative bought it for me on eBay and I believe they can send it back to the vendor.
I have a Samsung Store, I could go there and make them evaluate it.
What should I do?

Galaxy S22If it can be returned I, personally, would return it since I'm not sure about the warranty policy with older models - even if new. Just make sure that if you decide to return it, you log it out of your Google and Samsung accounts and then factory reset it so all your personal data is off it. You can make a cloud backup to your Samsung account, which you can then restore to any new phone you get so you don't have to set it up from scratch. If, on the other hand, you already spent time configuring it and setting it all up, bringing it for evaluation and repair may be the better option for you. You would need proof of purchase (and proof that it was new out of the box), for warranty issues. I'm not sure how much a screen replacement would cost if not under warranty. If there is still enough time left on the return window, you might take it for evaluation and pricing first and then make your decision.
You might want to call Samsung for clarification of the warranty.
