S22 Ultra: After the One UI 7.0 release, my bottom navigation bar is stuck on top of apps when I open them. I already cleared cache for the One UI app. It blocks my ability to tap buttons/links in apps, and I don't like the swipe gestures feature. I like having my 3 buttons on my navigation bar when I need them.

1. Open the Samsung Galaxy Store app.
2. Search for and download the Good Lock app.
3. Download the NavStar Plugin.
4. Open the NavStar plugin and toggle it ON.
5. Toggle Show and Hide Button to ON. (This is the setting that MUST be on for the Navigation Bar to auto-hide automatically).
6. Toggle Show On Home Screen to ON if you want it to remain on all of the time, OFF if you don't.
7. Resize Customize Navigation Bar Height to preferred size.
The NavStar plugin MUST remain running for the Navigation Bar auto-hide behavior to work. It's stupid as h*ll, when this used to be default behavior before UI 7.
Samsung keeps taking steps backwards when it comes to user friendliness and simplicity, and making everything less user friendly, and more complicated.
A couple of other plugins that I would reccomend downloading are the QuickStar, and the Sound Assistant plugins. They have some very handy settings in them.
Hope this helps.

My first time replying on this forum and I just wanted to say thank you, this worked for me. I just updated my S22 to the One UI 8.0 and this was killing me. Samsung has been great for me for many years, and I just couldn't give up on them. Everything can't always be perfect, so I knew there had to be a solution. Even if that solution required a few extra steps for the time being.

Thank you again!

I thanked another user on here that broke down the steps of Good Look. But, I should also thank you! I'm a long time Samsung guy and this all began for me after the One UI 8.0 update. The Good Look app solved it all for me for now!

I am running into the same issue, but interestingly for me it is only affecting flutter apps. All other apps continue to work fine. See: https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/168635

I did do as suggested by changing the height of the nav bar, but with no results. Since I am posting as a guest, I am replying as SrS22225a (Fenriris) from the github issue

Me too!! This update has made some of my apps completely unusable! The navigation buttons at the bottom of screen are overlapping with apps buttons, so i cannot open the app chat box for help etc in my After Pay app now. The only way around it is changing my phone setting to swipe instead of bottom buttons to access that. Then changing it back after using that chat. Absolutely insane. All because of this update, was fine before! Not good enough, how is this an UPDATE all they have done is broken everything amd made things way worse. Plus the app search horizontally isn't in alphabetical order anymore. This is terrible.

Hello, same problem here. One UI overlays the navigation bar on top of app buttons. Now I can't book an appointment at my usual hospital.

How can I change that without a third party app?

When you find out, let us know. For now, I'd use Good Lock and save yourself the frustration
