Galaxy S21Many times they don't respond if they are working on the issue. You won't see a response until they have updated information for you. Also, you are only supposed to put in one error report for an issue. If they request more information (phones, log, etc), there is usually an "ask again" link at the bottom of your original error report which will link subsequent information to the original error report. If the problem is not immediately apparent in the logs, it can take longer than 2 weeks for a resolution. Since many people are having this same issue, and presumably submitting error reports and logs, they could be looking for the common denominator in order to create a fix, which will likely come in the form of a patch or update.
I know it's frustrating to not be able to make or receive calls - it is a communication device, after all. If you have had and used wi-fi calling in the past, you may still be able to use it while you are connected to a wi-fi network, although, I think the SIM has to be recognized in order to do that. An alternative might be to use either WhatsApp or Google Voice, or another wi-fi calling app so you can make and receive calls and texts while this is being worked on.

Galaxy S21Hi, for all whom searching for the solve, it's EAZY , I searched alot, and thanks to deepseek for giving me clue where to find the solve.. to solve you just need you to turn on the 2G for the mobile networks we have, as it blocked as a security in the new updats, you can turn 2G from: settings=>connection=>mobile networks=> allow 2G service
No reset or deprecate or any data restore or anything like change sim or maintenance for carrier etc.. just allow 2G and the issue will be solved at once

Galaxy S21Since the update none of those settings are available to change. When I click mobile networks it just jumps back to the main settings page.

Galaxy S21Has there been any update from Samsung about this or a fix that's been working or are people just going around with phones that don't work?

Galaxy S21Hi, the update will not help as the last update said it eill block 2G networks for security..
That's what I did.. it may help you
Restart phone
Reomve sim carrier and add it again
Try to replace sim 1 with sim 2 and inser the carrier .. try to change settings.. then you can add them again as they were at 1 or 2
Close the phone not just restart it
Airplane mode on and off
Close data switch setting and close always dual sim on setting
Reset wifi settings and sim
Change operatirs from automatically.. but I didn't change them I just click on it so it can refrsh..
Change the preferred 5G to 4G and so on and finally kept it on 5G and the second to 4G
Lastly I turn on 2G for my 2 sim
Most settings for sim is in:
setitngs - connections - mobile neteorks
setitngs - connections - sim manager - more sim settings
Reset is in: general management - reset - reset mobile networks settings
And
general management - reset - reset wifi and Bluetooth settings
No other solutions as I tried.. if it keeps take you to the main screen, easily type in the settings search something that will take you to the setting directly.. like type 2G it will show for you
Hope that will help you and the other people too

Galaxy S21Thanks for the reply, I tried it and no change. Most of the settings you mentioned aren't available anymore since the sim manager seems to be nonexistent. It just shoots back to the main settings page. When I type in 2g nothing comes up. Mobile networks times out for half a minute and when it finally shows up the settings for sim1 and 2 just say unknown. When I try to disable either, (both are on) it says "Can't turn off sim, you need at least one sim turned on." And this's a single sim card phone. For some reason the last update added sim2 when there isn't even a slot for it. Through all of this though wifi seems to be working fine. Also IMEI under IMEI information all says Unknown. That's probably what it is. I guess I will try the factory reset tomorrow and see if it gets that back.

Just updated to ui8 and android 16 on s21fe and 2 others family have now all bricks doesn't recognize sim cards! Anyone have a idea what to do? We know its software not hardware and on one phone did full reset just for giggles and nothing and sim cards work in a old phone.
