Galaxy S21Hey, is anyone having an issue with their SIM card not working after updating to One UI 7?
Before the update, my phone model was SM-G990U1, but after the update, it shows as SM-G990U1/DS.
Now I get the message: "Emergency calls only. Invalid card." โ even when no SIM is inserted.
In the settings, there's now a SIM Manager that shows a SIM 2 (Unknown), which shouldnโt be there, as my phone is a single SIM model.
It seems like the update installed software intended for the dual SIM version of the phone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated โ thanks!

Galaxy S21Thanks for pointing that out. The reason I posted here is because Suriname doesnโt have a dedicated Samsung community page, and my phone is actually a U.S. unlocked model โ so I figured this would be the most relevant place.
I appreciate your help!

Galaxy S21Sorry that you have a limited community where you are, but you will even very limited help here. Do they have Samsung Care centers where you are? You can try putting in an error report, since you have a U.S. model, but for some people the support tab is region locked for those out of the U.S. You can try, though.

Galaxy S21Unfortunately, there are no Samsung service centers here, and some Samsung services โ including the Samsung Members app โ arenโt available in this region. So I guess Iโm just stuck with the problem for now.
I would have downgraded to Android 14, but thereโs no firmware available with binary version G for Android 14. All the firmware with that binary version are already on Android 15 and have the same CSC version, so downgrading isnโt an option either.
Thanks for your help anyway โ I appreciate it.

Galaxy S21The phone has a single physical SIM โ the SIM tray has only one slot. But after the update, a SIM 2 started showing up in the SIM Manager. Even with the physical SIM removed, SIM 2 still appears as active in the SIM Manager. Also, this phone does not support eSIM.

Galaxy S21Hi @wolfonrr , The phone wasn't bought on contract โ I paid full retail price. I've had it for almost two years now and never had any issues with Android 13 or 14.

Galaxy S21Hi @userajfyblP4q0
Same here. I tried everything โ clearing cache, factory reset, even reflashed the exact same firmware โ nothing fixed it. I honestly don't understand how Samsung managed to mess up an update this badly. I bought the phone full retail almost 2 years ago, so no warranty left either. Feels like I'm just stuck with a broken phone now.
