Dear devs, how would you like it if you came home from a hard day at work and all you want to do is relax. You unlock the door, walk inside and someone came in and rearranged your entire house while you were gone!
You can't put shoes on your shoe rack because someone thought it belonged on the basement, but you don't know that yet (that's a surprise for later). You have to hunt for it unsuccessfully until you give up. You go to grab a cup from the cabinet and a dev thought cups belonged on the dining room, not the kitchen. Frustrated, you decide to just get a bottle of water, but your fridge isn't in the kitchen either. It's in the attached garage because another dev thought it would be great just to grab water in the garage on your way inside. But you didn't park in the garage, you parked in the driveway.
Want to brush your teeth? Only if you're in the shower. What about towels? The guest room closet, because duh. BTW your bed has been removed as another dev thought it was too cumbersome. You now get a pullout sofa! Yay for streamlining! Eventually you find more than half your stuff has been moved, rearranged or thrown in the trash. And you still can't figure out how to unlock the toilet paper dispenser that some genius decided was necessary...
Please, stop forcing such drastic changes.

This was intended as both a lighthearted and sarcastic post to share mine and countless other's frustration. Tone doesn't come across text very well. So, I'll also add that the app "Good Lock" and a few others inside that app have REALLY helped bring back much of a UI 6 type interface. If anyone wants their old UI 6 back, look for posts about "Good Lock" some have misspelled it as "Goodlock" (in case you can't find all the posts).

AFTER I EXHAUST THIS PHONE I'M LOOKING AT OTHER ANDROID MFGS BECAUSE ALTHOUGH THERE ARE SIMILARITIES (GOOGLE), I DON'T THINK THEY HIJACK US LIKE SAMSUNG DOES!!

Look up posts about the app "Good Lock" on the Samsung store. I downloaded it and a few other in-app downloads (all free) and they've brought back so much more of the UI 6 feel.
I even have my 5x5 app icons back. There's some really great options there. Even simple stuff like adding a trash icon to screenshots and videos. Search the forums and check it out. Some have misspelled it as "Goodlock" (one word) instead of "Good Lock" (two words).
Good Lock is great, this is the reason I am not as upset as others. I got my phone almost back to how it was. Except for that ugly battery pill. I solved that problem in a better way than having it in my status bar.
It really isn't that drastic, it took me a couple of hours to get it back the way I had it. With some great additions, especially large folders! Also love the vertical app drawer with the search bar near my thumbs. I rarely used it, so I didn't know which page they were on. I just use finder.
Why is it that every time you guys do an update on my phone? Things that I'm used to you are changing without my knowledge. Why is it that you're able to go in? Don't change my phone, talk and text and everything else. When you do an update that is not acceptable.
This is yeah. Against privacy apps going in and changing things on my phone without my knowledge, this is not right. And if I'm not the only person that's doomed as saying, this probably either, but nobody knows how to get ahold of you guys to tell you that when you do an update that doesn't give you guys the right to change things on our bounds. And then I go through hours of trying to figure out what you guys did. And why it happened? And then having to call Samsung and having them, help me fix it, and then when they do fix it, it, not even goes back to where it was. This is ridiculous. I am a Samsung user since day. One I have everything Samsung. But this is not acceptable, I had an update done lately. The last update and it changed. Where my microphone was for my text? To talk it erased it completely from mouse keyboard. This is not acceptable.
Please stop doing this kind of stuff because you're going to lose a lot of customers if you continue to do on that
