I am running out of space on my S21 and trying to download pics to my PC. The pictures I have downloaded from texts do not show up in DCIM. When I try to view the pics, I get an error message. I am using the USB C cord and my laptop has an outlet to plug in the C cord on the other end. Is there a special cord I should be using to make ALL pics in my gallery show up, not just ones I have taken?
To find out where those pics are in your internal storage, go to the Gallery album where they appear. Select any pic in that album and swipe up. It will give you the path where they're stored. You can then copy that folder over to your laptop.
Photos downloaded from social media or messaging usually don't end up in the DCIM folder, they usually land in a folder called pictures in subfolders labeled with the app name they came from (Instagram, Facebook, Messages, etc.).
