Hello all, some help would be appreciated here. When I delete songs from my Samsung music app on my Galaxy s21 Plus I notice that it removes the songs from my Spotify mobile app playlist that these songs were in. I just wanted the songs gone from the Samsung music app, not to be removed from Spotify as well. Does anyone know why this happens?

I understand that, thank you. All songs I deleted have been removed from Samsung Music, My Files, and my Spotify mobile app. Still in my desktop Spotify.

Isn't Spotify integrated into the Samsung Music app? If so, removing it from the Samsung Music app absolutely remove it from spotify.

It is integrated but only with material on the home screen they want you to see. None of my Spotify playlists, etc can be accessible unless I do an album, artist, etc search then it brings up a list. Tap on a specific song, etc then it brought me to my Premium Spotify account. If I could find a way to deactivate the integration I would.

Probably because if your songs were downloaded to your device, removing them from Samsung Music, removes them from your phone and, thus, removing it from Spotify. Spotify, like Samsung Music can only play your songs if they exist on your device, as opposed to a Spotify cloud playlist. Check to see if they are still on your device by going to the my files app, locating the music folder and looking for your songs.  I do not believe there is a way in Samsung Music player to hide a song while still allowing it to exist on the device to be played by another player.

You need to understand that both Samsung Music Player and Spotify Music Player are just shells that find your songs on your phone and plays them.  Having them appear in both players does not make them duplicate files, so they are not taking up any extra room on your phone.  Very much like the Gallery is a shell for photos, the photos are downloaded to your phone's DCIM folder and then you can use any photo viewing app you want to view them or edit them.

They are in your desktop Spotify because you did not remove them from that device.  You can copy them back to your phone if you want.
