Galaxy S PhonesTrust me , i am doing my research before i even made 1 post.
****Can you link the source where s23 model is said not to be supoorted for rcs? ***
Not s25 only, i contacted one writer guy for YT , he had s24u no RCS. After one ui 7, he was able instal v15.7 and got rcs/SM working. He supplied screens. And in my search many s24s users have it working. Only found " ONE" post where they claimed SM was magically uninstalled. Haha, i suspects carrier firmware is culprit if that is even posdible. Or worst its compromised phone. How can internal app/SM be magically uninstalled by one ui 7 update and an external app /GM is installed without any user input ( isnt that definition of security breach haha). I of course questioned that post. But no screen to back up his claim. Debunked 🤔
Also Contrary to what you wrote. I have read many s23 that said they had rcs /SM all along. With those cases i suspect its due to carrier firmware.
Thirdly, during one of my -Samsung tech calls, I was told wait for one ui 7, it will bring back RCSfor older models too. Haha. I hope that won't be debunked 😭
Anyways, I've not been able to find definitive answer one way or the other retarding RCS for s23. Only opinions so far 🤔 🤔
I asked on Twitter and reddit too, before i remember Samsung had member app haha.
So since we have dedicated s23 category here i am asking fellow s23u users who is on one ui 7.
So far not one s23u Unlocked have got RCS back/new ( only s23u that has carrier firmware / or prior rcs too)

Galaxy S PhonesSorry I can't be of more help, I have always used Google Messages since they developed it, and I have no interest in ever using Samsung Messages, so the point is moot for me. As for other S23 users getting RCS, perhaps they sideloaded the apk. Also, I thought I read somewhere on here that only certain carriers (T-Mobile and, I think, AT&T) are supporting RCS in Samsung Messaging, which may be why you are receiving conflicting information. RCS is carrier dependent and that is why Google Messages will be the default supported app for carriers (currently - that could change). If you notice, if you go to turn on RCS in either Google or Samsung Messages, the carrier has to allow it to be enabled.

Galaxy S PhonesI just hope Samsung does right thing and open RCS to all model phones and unify the SM app haha
But as you may have read , i saw some YT. Samsung had stated they wont be bringing cross platform ( iOS- android) rcs encryption. ( cant find it now ). That will be big nail in coffin. Unless Samsung flip flops on that too

Galaxy S PhonesCurrently you have to have a device that doesn't have Samsung Messages pre-installed to use RCS on Samsung Messages.

Galaxy S PhonesAll we can is a wait and see approach. I honestly wish 3rd party had an API or something as some 3rd party messaging apps I like better thab both.

Galaxy S PhonesBe-cause it doesn't show up in my s23u galaxy store. He said at time. It was a whole different variant app .
So the question is all RCS protocols in the SM ( then i have hope) app or all in firmeare ( then i no hope ) haha
🤞🏼 fingers crossed
