Not getting group messages from iphone

Rest of fam has iphone, i have android, i can text them in group chat, but I can't get any responses back. I can see the mesaages from their phone, no errors or anything, they just aren't being delivered to me.

Did you have an iPhone previously?

If so, they could be responding to still-active iMessage threads, which would prevent you from receiving the messages.
