A week ago I started having an issue while using the Samsung email app that acts like some type of scroll lock.

I can open the email app, select which email account I want to use with no problem. But, when I try to type a message in a new email or reply to an email I can only type until the text message body meets the keyboard box. At that point the cursor/screen snaps back up to the top of the message. It won't allow me to scroll further down the screen. I can keep typing but there's no way to view what I'm writing.

Something has changed in the Samsung email program because it was working right before. This happens with I use both MSN and Comcast emails. My Samsung phone no longer receives updates so that can be ruled out as the cause. I've not changed any settings.

This is very aggravating! I've seen that other users are having this same problem with all stating that the issue started in the past couple of weeks. What's changed? C'mon, Samsung... fix this ASAP! This is totally unacceptable!!

I have also noticed this when typing a longer email within last week on ZFold7. If you save email as a draft and re-open the same email, you will be able to scroll for a bit.....until it starts having the scrolling issue again.

Same for me!  Driving me insane!  I have tried several "fixed" but they only work for a short while and then the problem comes back!  This is a serious issue and I want to k ow what Samsung is doing to fix this!!?

Will do. I've been following this same problem on the Samsung eu community site. People had contacted Samsung, Samsung acknowledged there's a problem but had no idea how to fix it. Said they'd turn it over to the techies. I'm not optomistic of a fix any time soon.

Go to the link in this feed from Yousuf-Marfani. It works. Although, I didn't clear my email data, just the cache and then went to the three dots and uninstalled the updates. Then restarted my phone. The problem was solved and none of my emails were affected in any way except that the snap-back was gone. Hope this works for you, too!

I did the same as above and I also didn't clear data, but did everything else as suggested above and it worked.

I'm so sorry to hear, did you followed the steps correctly? Go to apps and then show hidden or system apps and there you will find Android System Webview just uninstall the updates and clear cache and restart. Just try one more time I'm sure it will work. 🙂
