Calls will not end when screen is locked

Whenever I am on a call, I can try ending it by tapping the Red Circle to disconnect. The Red Circle vanishes, but the call will not end until I unlock the screen.

This just started happening over the last month or two.

Is there a way for me to undo this "feature"? It's more like a bug to me.

By this short reply, I take it that you think something that I recently installed is causing this issue.

How do I put a phone in Safe Mode?

Can I make and receive calls in Safe Mode?

Even when the other side ends the call?

It appears to disconnect if they end the call. I don't know if they always end the call because most of my calls are with customers that I don't know well enough to troubleshoot the issue with.

If I don't unlock the screen after hanging up, the CALL ICON stays visible on the System Tray up top. It won't go away until there is a timeout (somewhere between 30 seconds and 2 minutes) or until I unlock the phone screen to see what is going on.

By your response, I take it that this is not something new that Android or Samsung has rolled out.

Open the phone app
Top right 3 dot menu
Settings
Answering and ending calls
Make sure everything is off
If it is
Enable all options
Hit back
Go there again and disable all
Hit back
And test

So, I did that, not thinking it would make any difference.

But, I've had 2 calls today since then, and neither of them has had this issue.

I think your solution fixed it! Thank you!
