Note 10 nearby share to pc?

Nearby share finds my Samsung tablet from my phone but doesn't find my windows pc? I was trying to nearby share a file from the laptop to the phone. I guess all devices have to be android or samsung?

Google has announced it is working on compatibility using Windows with nearby share. For now it only works with Android, tablets and chrome devices
