My volume up/down buttons

When I tried to turn the volume up or down, or even restart the phone from these buttons on the side of the phone, it will not turn it up or down. Nor will it allow me to turn the phone off or restart it.

You may be experiencing mechanical failure of your buttons from wear and tear over time. You will likely need to visit a certified Samsung repair center to fully diagnose the issue and have any required repairs completed.

In the meantime, you can access the power menu by swiping down from the top right corner of the display and pressing the power icon to restart your device without using volume keys

However, if the side key (lock button) has failed, I would not recommend turning off the device as you may have difficulty turning it back on
