Cant stop "read report will be sent" message

When leaving from one message group for another, I get "confirm - read report will be sent " I have "delivery reports" turned OFF in "text messages" and "multimedia messages " section.  Even with a reboot, I cant stop this annoying message.  I'm using a Note 20 Ultra.

so my read report is off so I don't know why it's still popping up whenever I send messages

I went into the app settings and cleared the cache, that stopped the read report message.

I've tried clearing the cache a few times and it didn't work for me 😔

Waiting for a Samsung rep to confirm that this is an update issue or something. Super annoying glitch.

Clearing the cache didn't fix the issue for me either.  All it did was clear all my settings without fixing anything. Womp womp.

I'm having the same issue with us retail version of s20 plus unlocked. Since the recent update. Several weeks of this persistent irritant. Advice? Samsung, is there an update in the works?
