Galaxy Note PhonesIf your phone has 2 SIMs, there will be 2 IMEI numbers, one for each SIM. In your about phone setting, you should see SIM1 = IMEI #, SIM2 IMEI #. This is true regardless of whether both SIMs are in use or not. Most of the newer phones have 2 SIM slots - 1 eSIM and 1 physical SIM.

Galaxy Note PhonesAs I understand it, both can be used at the same time. The phones come with dual SIM capability, because some people travel and put in a travel SIM and some people use one phone for business and personal, rather than carry two phones around, so they would use one SIM for their work number and one SIM for their personal number. You don't have to use both, it's just there if you want to. Also, the one SIM for physical and one eSIM gives people a choice of whether they want to use an eSIM or a physical SIM.
