All,
Can someone explain to me how does the smart thing find works? I mean how is it located? Is it by someone passing by the lost item or does it have to be turned on or used?

Thank you in advance

Yes, it uses Bluetooth crowd sourcing for general location only, with last seen. Devices will ping each other to locate things. Samsung also uses Ultra Wide Band (UWB) for more short range device location . When working in tandem with the Bluetooth it will give you a general location, when you get to that general location this is where the UWB will kick in and give you precise location. You open Smart things and you will get arrows pointing in the direction of where to look.

You have to turn on UWB in connections to use this feature.
Galaxy buds currently don't have UWB, hopefully they will add it to the Buds 4 series if they were smart, I would upgrade for this feature alone.

Thank you for explanation. Now i have the galaxy S22U and it recently updated to one ui 8.0 and the thing is while looking for my Galaxy buds 2 pro smart things would only display the previous day when i last used my buds. It did not locate them. I eventually found them in between the seats of my car but not with the help of smart things. I also noticed that my wearable app does not include my buds only my smart watch. Do i need to reinstall the app? Please advise.

No you don't have to reinstall the app. Samsung in Ui8 put the buds settings on your settings page when the buds are open. Or you can find them on the Bluetooth page of devices that are connected to your phone. I have the buds control as a widget on one of my home pages. I prefer this over any other method to access my buds.1764116287552.jpg
