Silicone Tips Routinely Come Off the Earbuds

After several years of infrequent wear, the silicone tips on my Galaxy Buds Pro earbuds now routinely come off the earbuds, so they remain in my ear canal after I remove the earbuds. With some effort, I can dig the silicone tips out of my ear, but it seems to me that I shouldn't have to do this.

I'm reluctant to purchase replacement silicone tips only to have them start coming off again. The silicone tips on my Anker earbuds, by comparison, are still securely attached to the earbuds even after years of prolonged wear.

What can cause the silicone tips to routinely come off my Galaxy Buds Pro? What I really want to know: Is the problem in the silicone tips themselves, or is it in the earbuds at the point where they contact the silicone tips?

Thanks for your advice.

I agree with the advice offered in the link that you provided, and I will follow that advice:

"Decided never to use the Buds Pro. Hope Samsung will look into it and make sure the ear tips stick strong with the Buds for all future releases."

Hello Sammix, Welcome to the Community. We understand the concern with the eartips coming off.

Check out the solution thread here: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-Buds/Galaxy-Buds-Pro-ear-tips-come-loose-easily/m-p/22327...

Several Members suggested purchasing foam eartips to replace the silicone ones. @GaryB82 or @Robin621k Can you advise if the Comply tips are compatible?

My eartips never came out or was left in my ear. The most important thing is knowing how to take them off and put them back on. Can't be rough and snatch them off. And when putting them on,pull the entire budtip back and just easily slide it on. I've had my Buds 2 pros since they first came out. Never a problem.

Obviously, you got to be gentle you can't be pulling them out extremely hard. You got to grab the Bud from the very end for the silicone ear tip sits and pull gently out. I've never had any problems with my Galaxy buds 2 Pro neither with my Galaxy buds 3 Pro that I have now in my official ear tips remain in place. I know the buds 3 Pro have a more secure design on the ear tips, but still on my second generation the tips never fell off and stayed in my ear canal at all. They worked and functioned perfectly fine.
