How to remove Galaxy Buds 3Pro earbuds case from VRS Design shell case?

Anyone have any ideas how to remove the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro case from a hard shell case? Specifically, I have the VRS Design case, and the top part seems impossible to get off. The bottom part comes off fairly easy (by pushing out through the hole for the charging port), but the top just won't budge. Please help!

If it’s held on by tape u might be able to get a few drops of alcohol in between the 2 pieces and get it to come off

It is held on by tape, but that doesn't seem to be the problem, it's more that the cover is a very tight fit. Any suggestions for that?

You see the little tab inside the front edge of the lid? Put your idex finger (or fingernail) under it and pull towards you while at the same time pushing the black tab on the lid cover away from you with your thumb. Hope that helps.
