So. Last night I charged the buds and case to 100%. Before bed I unplugged them from the charger after verifying they were charged to 100%. This morning when I went to check they had drained 3% overnight. So if its 3% over 8 hours thats ~9% a day. 10 days of no use and the case is dead? Seems a little bit excessive?

I don't recall my airpods pro 2 ever draining. For that matter they hardly needed charging. The galaxy buds pro 3 i have to charge every 4 to 5 days of maybe 1.5 hours of use per day.

Checked to make sure they are seated properly and the charge ports are all clean.

Is this drain thing normal?

I should be getting up to 26 hrs with noise cancelation. I'm getting roughly 10 total. (5 days times 1.5 hrs use per day is 7.5 hours). I use my headphones approx 1.25 to 1.75 hrs per day. So in theory, I should be able to get two weeks of use at the gym before needing to charge. 1761086403168.jpg

I personally don't take software estimates at face value. (Note: the estimates states "up to," not "around.")

Since you have such a big discrepancy between estimates and actual, why not take it to a repair center and see what they say about it.

BTW, how many features do you have enabled? I just found out that apparently, each enabled feature adds to the battery draw.

ANC, music, and that 360 sound thing. I turned off the controls for like assistant and noise controls. That's it.

I used the diagnostic tools thing in this app to check them and everything checks out.

What did you mean by "music?" Did you use a custom equalizer setting?

Perhaps you can try turn off the 360 (and custom equalizer if you have one), and see how long the batteries fare?

I'm referring to their website description. I only use them for music and ANC at the gym for about 1.5 hrs a day. I may rarely use them to make a phone call. When I say rarely, I've used them once to make a phone call since I've owned them. I usually either just use my phone or my Bose open ear.

I can turn off 360 and see. Not sure what difference thats going to do. I tried turning that off before and the sound wasn't that good. The 360 helped make them sound better.

This video and one other gave me the idea to see how much turning off 360 would help.
https://youtu.be/EbJSFMImeus?si=dGPNzjswimE-TV4f

What is suggested in the video makes some sense since all settings and the processing to enact them are all stored/done in the buds alone. Samsung did it this way so that for any settings and effects set through a Samsung phone, if you then switch or pair the buds to another device, say an iPhone, the settings and effects follows the buds even though almost every earbud app on other devices do not have all the settings and features that are available on the Samsung phone app.

Thanks. I turned off the lights. There's also UHC and other things on I didn't see. Now everything sounds horrible with everything turned off. Very tinny. 😩

It's temporary; we just want to see what impact all those features have on the battery drain. After you get your numbers, you can go ahead and turn them back on (and let me/us know what you find).

Also, only what's in the Buds 3 Pro manager are stored to the buds. UHQ is part of the phone's "Sounds and vibration" settings, and should only effect wired headphones.
