Hi Samsung Support,

I'm experiencing rapid battery drain in the charging case of my Galaxy Buds 3 Pro.  Despite minimal use, the case's battery depletes quickly, even when the earbuds are inside and the lid is shut. I can only charge my ear buds twice, after that the case is at 0%, even if I used the ear buds sparingly (they are at 75-85% when I put them in the case usually).

I've ensured the earbuds are properly seated in the case and that the lid is closed securely and tried disabling features like "Find My Buds" and "Ear Detection" via the Galaxy Wearable app.

Despite these efforts, the problem persists.  Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this issue?  Is there a firmware update or setting adjustment that can mitigate the battery drain?

Thank you for your assistance.

Same issue. Samsung has failed badly at this entire line up. This is my 3rd replacement buds after the first two stopped charging or had other defects. Now the case drains to 0% after 2 charges. Sigh...

Hey, welcome to the community! I know this recent purchase must have been exciting, and it will be my pleasure to help keep it that way. Let's give these steps a try to see if we can get your case charging correctly.

1. Make sure you're using an approved charger.

When charging, be sure to use the included USB cable and a Samsung-approved wall adapter (sold separately).

2. Check the case positioning if using a wireless charging pad.

When charging wirelessly, make sure to place the case directly on the center of the charging pad.

3. Check for case interference.

If there is a cover on the charging case, it may interfere with wireless charging. You may charge the case and earbuds with a USB cable, or remove the cover to charge wirelessly.

4. Make sure the earbuds are in the right spot inside the case.

Check to see if the earbuds are sitting properly inside the case. If they aren't fully in their correct spots, the charging contacts won't connect to charge the earbuds.

5. Check for debris on the charging contacts.

Make sure the charging contacts inside the case and on the earbuds themselves are clean and free of debris. Over time, dust, wax, or other debris can build up on the charging contacts and prevent charging. Check out our guide for how to properly clean your earbuds.

6. Check the earbud tips and/or wingtips.

If your buds have earbud tips and/or wingtips, make sure they are installed correctly. Otherwise, they may interfere with the earbuds sitting correctly inside the case.

7. Check the indicator light.

The indicator light on the outside of the case that signals the status of the case itself. The indicator light inside the case signals the status of the earbuds. If either flashes red, there may be an issue. If external power is cut off, the red light on the outside of the case will flash. If the indicator lights are not functioning, try disconnecting and then reconnecting the charger from the case. Once reconnected, charge the case for at least 10 minutes.

8. Inspect the case, earbuds, and charger for damage.

If the earbuds are still not charging, check both the case and the earbuds for any damage. Damaged earbuds will not charge. However, if one earbud is damaged, the other earbud will continue to charge. If the charging case or earbuds are damaged, you must purchase a new pair. You can also purchase a new USB cable or wall adapter if the items are damaged.

If this does not help, I recommend letting a service technician have a look. As we would like to gather additional information, and look at this from a case by case basis, please provide the full model code and serial number of the device as well as your best contact phone number, name, and email.

You are not alone. I'm glad I checked mine early enough before heading to the gym. I got maybe 4 uses and the case is depleted. I could use my Airpod pros like 5 or 6 days and the case still had some charge left. Pretty bad. It's like Samsung isnt even trying or they're just ripping us off now.
