My Buds Pro 2 are having the dreaded whistle with the left ear bud, yes tried cleaning, resetting and pretty much everything else I could find on web. I got some Bud 3 Pros for free with my phone trade in and they can't get a good fit in my ear, the sound sucks big time. I have tried all the different ear tips, tried triple flanged tips and Comply tips which are one of my favorites. I have done the ear test so it adjusts for my age, actually did that test twice. Set up a custom equalizer, nothing works. The Buds Pro 2 sounded so much better its not even funny but I do love the features the 3's have. Problem is I use these 90% of the time for music. I'm in the market for new Buds, looking at the Bose QC's or Sony, so just curious if Samsung is going to stay with this stupid stem design or go back to the Buds 2 Pro design...please please please. If they stick with the 3 design I'm gone.

As far as I know they are. I've looked at the PowerBeats Pro, https://www.beatsbydre.com/earbuds/powerbeats-pro-2/MX743/electric-orange, but after all the reviews I've been reading/watching I think the QC Ultras Gen 2 are the ones I am going with, actually been thinking about trying the headphone but 450 bucks is hard swallow.

Everyone is going to have their "taste" in this arena so you don't really give much to allow suggestions. Obviously you want a pair that works with the phone but that will be true of almost every bluetooth ear-bud/headset, the only question will be the feature set available. IOW, if the manufacturer provides an Android app that lets you have some control. I only use my Buds2 Pro, Buds3 Pro and a BT closed back over-ear headset from an audiophile brand to listen to music. But my preference is getting more detail from the sound rather than boomy bass that thumps through the music as is common in the best selling brands. I prefer my audiophile brand headset that cost $399 because I can listen to multiple elements in the music at once and none overpowers any other the way that is common in, those with low-frequency (bass) emphasis.

You need something now for the whistling or ear-fit and there are lots of very good bluetooth buds/headphones available now. Search broader than these forums for the answers you need.

The Sony and Bose current models are highly praised for the quality of their noise cancelling but they are bass emphasized so when I researched my version of your problem I chose to avoid them, spent $399 on an audiophile brand and don't regret it (even though the noise cancelling on them is terrible compared to my Buds2 Pro indoor and outdoor and terrible compared to my Buds3 Pro indoor). They "sound better to me" than any other bluetooth buds, phones or speakers I have (and I have 10 others from three brands). One way to reduce cost is to get one of the previous year's models. They can cost as low as half the price of this year's models and with almost as good quality sound.

Samsung will say nothing about Buds4 until they choose to. If you want a replacement now, buy a second Buds2 Pro to replace the current ones or another brand. Google or ChatGPT, etc. will tell you if any brand/model has an Android integration for control. FWIW, the only thing I really recommend is to not get one of the $30 cheapo models on Amazon, etc. you are likely to be disappointed in the sound quality.

Thank you much for the info. The big reason I want to get another ear bud is because the 3 pro's fit is not good. Its like listen to music with no bass. I listen to all kinds of music but I need a full rich sound, including the thump. Lately I've been on a techno kick. Right now I am bouncing back and forth on trying my chance and getting another Galaxy Bud 2 Pro or make the jump and just get the Bose QC Ultra Gen 2 for that 459.00, hurts just to say that. The reviews I've watched all rave about how good the Bose sound, that is my main concern, all that other stuff, ANC, making phone calls....are all big secondary concern. well I do use these when I drive and work out so I guess ANC would be up there right after how the music sounds.

Thanks again for your help, that was a great read.
