Fold & Flip PhonesHello Charliegalaxy, Welcome to the Samsung Community! Not being able to adjust volume while in calls can be frustrating.
Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
During a Call-
Press the Volume Up button: While on an active call, press the volume up button on the side of your phone to increase the in-call volume.
Using Device Settings
1. Adjust Call Volume Slider:
Swipe up from the home screen to open the app drawer.
Tap the Settings gear icon.
Navigate to Sounds and vibration.
Select Volume and drag the slider for "Call volume" to the right to increase it.
2. Restart your phone:
A simple restart can often resolve temporary software glitches that might be affecting your audio.
Check for Interference
1. Disconnect from Bluetooth:
Go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth and check if your phone is connected to a Bluetooth headset or speaker, as the audio might be rerouted to that device.
2. Check for Phone Cases:
Remove your phone case to ensure it's not blocking or muffling the speaker.
Physical Cleaning
Clean the Speaker: If the sound seems muffled, gently clean the earpiece speaker with a soft, dry brush to remove any dust or lint that might be blocking it.
Advanced Options
1. Check Sound Enhancement Settings:
Go to Settings > Sounds and vibration > Sound quality and effects to see if any sound enhancements are enabled or disabled.
2. Check Accessibility Settings:
In Settings > Accessibility > Hearing enhancements, ensure the sound balance is set to the center and that any other options aren't causing issues.
Please let us know if this is of any help!
