Z Fold 7 - Screen layout & zoom (EDITED)

Does anyone know how to set a different layout for each screen on the ZF7?

We know the cover screen is too small, and if I set the layout zoom to minimum on the inner screen, it will only be perfect for using with the inner screen. But for the cover screen, everything is so small to see.

The font setting can't help. I also tried the Routine feature for when folding.

This is the first time I've used a foldable phone. Any advice, please!

Hey, I found a way to deal with this problem.

Turn on developer mode.

Set layout size to minimum.

Font size to 5 (5th dot from the left).

Then in developer mode:

- Find Minimum Width

- Folded and set it to 420 on the cover screen.

- Clear all recent apps.

- Unfold and set inner to 437 (default).

Now you have a lot of space on the inner screen and it's easy to see everything on the cover screen.

Go to settings , display than look for cover screen. There should be an option that allows you to keep cover display as inner display turn it off or onn

There are two types of screen settings that I could find.

The first one only works for where you placed the app. It can't set the different zoom size.
The second is for the continuation of the app on whichever screen it appears on, which you used before.

I need to set minimum zoom on inner and maximum on cover.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure if you can do that with folds. Have you checked on font size?

Yeah I did. My setting now is the good font size with maximum layout zoom; it's good for the cover but too big for the inner.
The Layout & Zoom option is hidden or not available for installation from an external screen; you can only install it from the cover screen.
And now, if I adjust it to fit the inner screen, it becomes too small for the cover screen.

@GarfieldP You can use a routine to change the Font size when the Fold is open or closed. 

Unfortunately it does not look like Zoom is an option to use in a routine.

There is no way in the layout settings to achieve what you want I know of. But you can use a workaround.

You need to:

1. Enable "Developer options" in Settings ("About phone" > "Software information" > Click on "Build number" multiple times)

2. Switch to the cover screen by folding the phone

3. Find "Minimum width" inside Settings > "Developer options"

4. Click on that item and change the number. The smaller the number - the bigger the layout zoom and vice versa. Find the value that you are comfortable with and stick to it (also better remember the initial value in case you want to restore the zoom level to the default one)

The values there might change automatically if you change the zoom level inside the layout settings. So, I would recommend to first set the zoom level you want for your inner screen inside the usual layout settings and then follow my steps to adjust the cover screen zoom
