Fold & Flip PhonesIf it's a temperature issue on your phone, you have to find out what app is causing it. You can download Good Lock and the Thermal Guardian module to see if you can find the culprit. Sometimes phones just heat up for a variety of reasons - overuse, apps that have intensive processor use, user behavior such as failure to regularly clear the cache partition or put rarely used apps to sleep so they don't run in the background.

Fold & Flip PhonesGoogle maps? Were you navigating or was it working in the background? Google maps shouldn't cause overheating. Make sure the app is optimized. Go to the app info screen/battery and select optimized.

Fold & Flip Phones@PaperStation Not seeing that on my Fold 7. It does warm up some when using Android auto and Maps but no stuttering.
Have you tried wiping the device cache partition? It wipes out incompatible or outdated cache information. It does not erase any user data nor applications.
To wipe the device cache partition:
1. Power off your device.
2. Power up while holding down the Volume up key and the Side key until the Samsung logo appears.
3. An Android recovery menu will appear.
4. Use the Volume down key to scroll down to Wipe cache partition.
5. Click the side key to select it.
6. Use the Volume down key to scroll down to Yes.
7. Click the side key to select it. The Cache will be wiped almost instantaneously.
8. Click the side key to select "Reboot system now"
