Has anyone had any issues with the hinge on the Z Fold 7?
Mine was received on July 25. It has been about 3 weeks now, and it is starting to fail to fully open on its own. Every time I unfold it, I have to pull it out a little bit more so it's flat. Does this have any long-term impact?
Second, the fold causes the aberration to warp even when I look directly at the screen at a 90-degree angle, although the feeling when I touch it with my hand is not much different from when I received the phone. But it can be seen more clearly with the eyes. And I've only used it for three weeks. This is my first foldable phone, so I don't know if this is normal or if mine is actually faulty.
I'm not seeing anything like that on my Fold 7. Do you have a case on it? I've seen a case that caused the Fold 7 to warp. The person removed the case and the Fold 7 was fine.
Nope, and it just happened when I did not unfold it for a while, like I'm at work and don't use the cover screen much. When I get home and start to use the inner screen and fold/unfold continuously, it's normal again.
I think it's because the plastic screen remembers its shape when folded and when it stays still for a long time. What I want to make sure about is whether this phenomenon is normal or not, because it wasn't like that in about the first week.
Do you know if you accidentally got dust in your hinge. Sometimes dust or dirt gets into the pocket where you keep your phone and it blocks the hinge from fully opening. That was the big mistake I made with my Fold 4.
Fold series is garbage and the hinge mechanism is horrible. Owned Fold 3 and now Fold 4 and experience the same hinge issue with both where the phone doesnt open flat after some time. Here we are with Gen 7 (7 years) and people are reporting same issue with Sam Folds. Clearly poor hinge design continues and Samsung doesnt seem to care about people shelling out thousands. I am done with Sam. Folds. No more.
