Feel a little silly asking this, but I guess I changed a setting somewhere where my notification bar icons are gray even when selected, i.e. they don't turn blue. What/where is the setting to change this back? Thanks!

Theme is still the default, haven't changed it.

Picking a theme fixes it, guess the grayscale is the default. Appreciate the replies!

This sounds like its the "pallette colors" which is under the "wallpaper and style" options. You can choose a different color pallete which will change the gray colors. If you dont like the color pallete options, try changing the wallpaper as the pallete tries to use color options based on the wallpaper
