I have a settings question... This has been a back and forth thing for me. I used to be able to have my Secure Folder password protected without having to have any kind of Lock Screen Security. Get a new device, now I need Lock Screen security. My last two devices, I've been able to have my Secure Folder password protected without Lock Screen Wecurity. Just got the Fold 7 and now I need Lock Screen security again. How can I go back to just have it password protected without Lock Screen Security? What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

I don't know if this will work on a fold or a flip but it's worth a try. Go into your secure folder settings, go into other security settings and then make sure automatic data decryption is turned on. What this does is it will unencrypt your secure folder without needing to put a password in upon a phone restart. So I wonder if that would have anything to do with the lock screen? It's worth a try. Hope it works.

I never used the lock screen on any of my Samsung phones and currently I'm on an s24 ultra. I had to do a pin for a lock screen due to the Google Pass Key and gmail. I just turned off the pin setting, so my phone is wide open and my secure folder works perfectly. Can you turn off your PIN setting?

So I set a pin, then set my Secure Folder password. Went back and disabled the pin and lost access to my Secure Folder.

So after you remove the pin, you cannot click on the secure folder icon in the app screen or going through settings to get into secure folder? Wow! That's crazy. I wonder if that's just happening to the Flip 7 and Fold 7?

Correct. The only way I can access it again is by setting a new PIN/ password/pattern or biometrics. If I do that, my Secure Folder is available again and the password I set for it is already saved.

No, it happened on my s24... it is ridiculous. we should be able to make our own choices when it involves using an app or phone. i should have the option to lock my phone or not. not forced to do so.
