I debated getting the Fold 7 because the inner screen UDC camera was taken away and replaced with a jarring, obtrusive, and annoying punch hole camera. That obviously is a downgrade to me. The best thing Samsung can do is make the Fold 8, 9, 10, and beyond models' two punch hole cameras be UDC cameras and just continue improving the technology until it is almost as good or better than the performance of a punch hole camera. Or they can offer two Fold models every year, one with UDC and one without, let the people's choice tell where their preference lies. If Samsung is unwilling to ever go back to UDC cameras, then at least consider repositioning the inner screen punch hole camera placed in the Fold 7 to a better spot so it doesn't degrade the widescreen video viewing experience with an unsightly black hole in videos. Yes move the punch hole camera to the right by an inch or all the way to the upper right hand corner like other manufacturers do with their Fold models. What engineers decided to put it where it is now makes me wonder what they were thinking. Obviously they didn't think much about it, that's why I shake my head every time I see that punch hole camera on the inner screen of the Fold 7. That is my number complaint I have with Fold 7.

Everthing else about it is top notch and congratulations on finally giving a Fold closer to what users want. Please consider continuing to make the cover screen even wider to 70-75mm even, that only makes it better. The second thing I wish future Folds would have is 100X zoom like the S-ultra models but with better clarity and super effective auto image stabilizing.

In summary, please bring back the UDC magic and consider double UDC cameras for future Fold models on both cover and inner displays. I think executing that will absolutely set Samsung's Folds so far above the competition it will make them cry and wish they had UDC too. Samsung was well on their way to doing that but unexpectedly took a wrong turn with bringing back the punch-hole camera on the inner screen instead of continuing to improve the UDC experience. Samsung's UDC was magic, they took it away. Their micr-sd card slot was magic, that was taken away. Their S pen was pretty nice, gone too. In order for Samsung to have the best Fold out there, it needs to add magic without taking away any magic it already had. Doing that only diminishes the accomplishments you already achieved. The truly Ultra Fold would add innovation on top of innovation, and never take away what already was top notch. I look forward to a truly Ultra Z Fold that captures all of the magic without taking away any it already had. And doing all that but still keeping it 8.9mm thin. Z Fold 10 - The Z Fold uncontested Gold standard - No compromises. Charge $2500 and it will still sale like hot cakes.

(I also sent this to Samsung's Feedback page, thanks for letting me share again!😂 I finally upgraded from a Fold 3 to Fold 7. I mainly use it to read PDF books and watch videos that's why I don't want a punch-hole camera ruining that immersive experience)

I think that Samsung should get rid of the inner display camera and just have it all display. It keeps costs lower and saves us from a disappointing feature. Otherwise I agree. Lets hope Samsung can catch up because theyre already very late in the game of foldables

@Joeht It's surprising to me that people are so upset about the punch hole camera on the inner screen. All the recent slab (aka candy bar) Samsung phones have the same punch hole and it doesn't seem to be a negative. And the earlier Folds had the punch hole camera on the outer screen.

LongHiker: Thanks for the comment. Your point is valid, but I guess it's a difference of priorities. Obviously if Samsung introduced their UDC with the Fold 2 and kept it until Fold 6, that's 5 years they were convinced it mattered. The purpose was a more immersive experience and to show their industry ground breaking innovation saviness. It worked for 5 years until now they gave up on it. If they really wanted to know what Fold owners preferred, maybe they can take a world-wide poll to have everyones' feedback on the matter, a simple yes or no poll for UDC or no UDC. Have it on their website. That will decide it beyond a doubt and it'll be interesting to see the results.

@Joeht The reason they changed it, is because users wanted a better camera for video conferencing. The UDC just didn't cut it.

Yes, that clearly is the number one reason for the debate and switch back, but for us UDC fans ithe reason for clearer pictures and videos from a selfie camera isn't a good enough excuse to justify replacing it with a punch-hole. Again, it's a difference of taste and priorites. But 4 years in with UDC meant it would improve every year, but without it in play at all, it's down the drain and a lost opportunity

@Joeht Fold 3 was the first one with UDC. The camera was the same for the 3, 4, 5, and 6. It is a 4 MP, f/1.8, 2.0µm, under display

Yes, and yet I was perfectly fine with that since I never used that camera once. If I ever did need to, the quality of the UDC would have been better than nothing. Besides, there's the cover screen punch hole camera with better quality already and the huge main cameras on the back so why do we need a 3rd on the inner screen to detract from the beautiful full inner screen? It's an overkill of cameras with 3 in my opinion with the 3rd one being needed least of all yet taking away so much from the immersive full screen experience

The only reason I canceled my Fold 7 order after playing with it for about 45 minutes at Best Buy is the 3x telephoto camera is utter trash for a $2000.
