Fold & Flip PhonesThank you for the screenshots. They show your issue, but what would be helpful is a screenshot of your SIM Manager settings, with your telephone number blurred or redacted, please. As you can see, mine only shows one eSIM with Mint Mobile, and that it is my primary (and only) SIM.
At this point, if I had to make a guess, I'd say that your phone is utilizing a virtual SIM to send messages. All cellphones are basically dual-band radios. Phone calls are made on the main band, while backend functions, like signing into towers as you move through the network, time and regional settles, etc are handled on the other smaller band. When SMS was developed, it utilized this smaller band to send text messages, which allowed the messages to be sent and received without interfering with a phone call. It still works the same way today; however, the internet can be heavily involved in the process as well these days. Since Samsung Messages is basically an SMS/MMS service, I would assume that your device is utilizing a virtual SIM 2 as a security measure to handle the messages being sent/received by Samsung Messages. That is a total guess, though, on my part.
