One UI8 ruined continue app on cover screen

I have a Fold 6 and ever since I updated to one UI8 there is a delay when switching between inner and outer screen on ALL apps. Most notably on any media apps it now pauses the playback when in One UI7 it was seamless and the biggest feature I love using. 

Has anyone else encountered this and are there any fixes anyone has tried that actually worked? I tried using Good Guardians app booster and it made 0 improvements. I can't find much of anything online for the Fold phones only the Flips.

@UserSeb Did you wipe the device cache partition after the update? I recommend that you do this after every device update. It wipes out incompatible or outdated cache information which might be incompatible after the update. It does not erase any user data nor applications.

To wipe the device cache partition:

1. Power off your device.
2. Power up while holding down the Volume up key and the Side key until the Samsung logo appears. 
3. An Android recovery menu will appear.
4. Use the Volume down key to scroll down to Wipe cache partition.
5. Click the side key to select it.
6. Use the Volume down key to scroll down to Yes. 
7. Click the side key to select it. The Cache will be wiped almost instantaneously. 
8. Click the side key to select "Reboot system now"

All my apps gracefully resized via freeform between inside and outside display until the one ui 8 update. Now apps like youtube suspend during transition and pause the content. It appears freeform is no longer used for window composition as it was before.

Ive also been struggling with this since the UI8 update. Tried everything but factory resetting.

That's going to be my next thing to test after they give us the next software update
