I was using my Mobile Hotspot to connect my Work Laptop to the internet on a drive up to my company's corporate HQ yesterday morning and it was working flawlessly with my Unlocked  Z-Fold 4 on T-Mobile.  Last night, I was informed of a system update available for One UI 5.1.1.  I downloaded and installed the update before bed last night and my phone updated fine.  When I went to turn on Mobile Hotspot for a drive to a different location this morning, My laptop connected as normal and showed that Internet was connected, however, my Teams and Outlook kept giving me notifications that I was offline.  When I would check the connection, I would show that internet was connected then it would show not connected.  It would just keep toggling on and off randomly.  I checked my T-Mobile plan and I still have Hotspot available on my plan.  So the only thing that changed on my phone from 24hrs ago was the One UI 5.1.1 update.  Checking the Release notes for One UI 5.1.1 it does show that there were updates to the Mobile Hotspot functionality and those changes do show up in my Settings for Hotspot except my Hotspot is no longer sharing the Internet connection that my phone can provide as I can surf and do anything on my phone as normal using my Mobile Data provided by T-Mobile.  How can I resolve this issue?

Hello, Welcome to the Community. We understand the frustration of not being able to use the mobile hotspot.

As this occurred directly after updating the phone, the first thing we recommend is clearing the cache partition and repair apps in the recovery menu.

To get to recovery mode:
- Turn off phone
- Once off, hold down volume up and power buttons simultaneously
- When Samsung logo appears, release power button BUT KEEP HOLDING VOLUME UP until the recovery menu appears
- Use volume buttons to navigate down to clear cache (NOT CLEAR DATA/ FACTORY RESET)
- Use power button to select.
- Run the repair apps option and your device will restart.

Next, try resetting the Network settings. Settings>General Management>Reset>Reset network settings (this does remove all networks and Bluetooth devices, and you will have to reconnect to them.)
If you are still unable to connect to the hotspot, try the steps here: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01001245
If you are still experiencing network service issues with calling, SMS or MMS messages, network signals, mobile data, or hotspots after resetting the device, you may need to contact your carrier.
In the event you are unable to resolve the hotspot connection, we recommend having the phone evaluated by an authorized service center. You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.
