I hated a lot about this update, but at least I've now jumped through enough hoops to mostly restore things to the workable state they were in before.
The big exception is the now bar- its tiny to the point of being extremely difficult and annoying to use, and aesthetically its atrocious.
What was wrong with the media bar? Why must we be forced to a new, worse version of the same thing? If we cant choose which option we want, could we at least get the ability to resize and reposition it? Or have it in the enlarged view by default?
I made an account just to complain about this after just quietly taking whatever Samsung dishes out for over a decade. This is the most upset I've ever been by a stupid software update. This is an annoyance that affects the action I take on my phone more often than any other, as I will usually pause/play media dozens of times every single day, and I dont know if I can even stick with this UI if its going to be this irritating to use.
I get it, it is in an awkward spot. Kinda small. If you just tap on the card it expands on the lockscreen, just leave it expanded. Double tap on the AOD.
I have accidently tapped the scroll bar instead of the rewind button which skips to random places in my audiobooks multiple times in the last week when the Now Bar is enlarged and the small pill is in a horrible location that gets covered by my cell phone stand. I added widgets to my lock screen and there's not enough convenient space to add 2 of my library app widgets and 1 Spotify widget on the lock screen. Plus those widgets then sit on top of my notifications. Now Bar is horrendous.
I think what they should do is open it up to Goodlock for tweaking . I don't have app shortcuts on my phone lockscreen. I would like to make it longer in this situation.
Update: it looked ugly as all get out, but I was able to band-aid the issue by adding widgets from all my different media playing apps using Lockup- UNTIL they all just disappeared.
In Lockup they're still there, so I guess my phone just decided no.
