Monthly recurring alarm

Hi, i used to be able to set an alarm that recurs monthly, but since the update, has lost this feature. Can we please have it back? The clock alarm feature used to work like calender reminders choices. It was really helpful!! Thank you!

While not recurring, you can schedule alarms ahead of time using the calendar icon on the alarm setup screen

See my above comment, you can automate the recurring alarm through modes and routines!

Just tested to confirm this works: You can achieve monthly recurring alarms by creating the routine in the attached screenshot with your desired times.

How do I get to that screen? Plus I want the first Thursday every month, so the date varies....is that possible? Samsung had it available before, why did they take it away? Most frustrating.

To get to the Modes and Routines screen, go to Settings > Modes and Routines > Routines

Tap the + in the top right to create a new routine

Unfortunately, the current implementation only offers specific days of the month. However, you can try an alternative routine involving calendar events, though it's a bit more convoluted.

1. Create the desired event in your calendar to produce a notification at the time of the event. In my example, I set the calendar event 5 minutes prior to the alarm to make sure the routine has time to take action.

2. Go to Modes and routines and set

If: Notification received
App: Calendar
Keywords: (name of your calendar event)

Then: Create alarm (at your desired time)

I imagine the feature was removed because it is not commonly used. I am active in this tech support forum daily and this is the first time I have heard of your requested feature.

You can make feature requests by visiting the support tab in this app and navigating to "send feedback."

@qy01 One thing that you could do is create an event with an alarm in the calendar app which repeats the First thursday of every month.
