Do some research! Knox is the system application that provides the security for secure folder and the rest of your phone.

You either need to explain further or provide some screenshots for clarity, apparently I, and other people do not understand what you are talking about.

What I meant is that the Secure Folder seems to be running apps and functions I didn’t authorize—346 apps, most of them hidden, and some of them using system permissions I didn’t grant. If Knox is built for security, why is it allowing hidden processes I can’t access or disable? And by ‘not the owner of my phone,’ I mean my controls, location, audio, and data access are being overridden or remotely manipulated. I’m trying to understand if this is expected behavior or a sign of a compromised device. I've been using ABD it downloaded logcat not me so I watched that live for a while.

Example Samsung Capture (then gone)

Its process count and then disappearance is suspicious. Normally it's just the screenshot handler—3 processes is too high unless someone is actively watching or automating capture.

Disappearing likely means it’s either tied to a profile i can’t see (Secure Folder, Work), or was hidden using system tools (or policy). ABD shows user 150 is the owner and I cannot figure out who it is as it says I don't have access.

If you are using ABD, that means you must be into developer options, which for most people it is way above their pay grade capability. So, I believe one of two things happened. You are either very nosy and got into the developer options and turned things on and off that have impacted your experience, or, you side loaded some app that is taking over your device. Either way, I would suggest taking it into a full service center to diagnose the problem.

They responded in this way because your statement is false. Secure folder exists because KNOX was developed. Otherwise, it wouldn't be a secure folder. What do you mean by "you are no longer the owner of your phone"?

Hello AO194, Welcome to the Community. We understand your concern with Knox and Secure Folder.

Samsung Knox is a security platform built into most Samsung Galaxy devices, offering hardware and software-based protection for both personal and business use. It's designed to protect sensitive data from the inside out, ensuring security from the moment the device is powered on. https://www.samsung.com/us/security/

The secure folder allows you to add apps and files to keep them secure from others seeing them. The app has to be set up and the apps and files added to the folder. Here is a link explaining the secure folder: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10001401/

If you believe someone else has control over your phone, you can try troubleshooting steps here: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshoot/TSG10003516/

If you still have concerns, as @Oxford suggested, it is recommended to have an authorized technician look at the phone. You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S.: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by calling customer support at 1-800-726-7864.

For service outside the U.S., please use this link: https://www.samsung.com/us/common/visitlocationsite.html.
