Fold & Flip PhonesIt seems many other people have been having the same and similar problems but I haven't been able to find any solution yet.
I pre-ordered the Z Flip 6 and have been using it for about a month and a half. I've taken very good care of it and there's been no damage to it at all. However, after an automatic update that was applied yesterday morning, it initially was fine but a few hours later the inside screen stopped working. This was after normal use, no drops or any kind of damage. The cover screen works normally but the inside screen just stays black. It seems to be unlocking and responding to touches as if the display were on. I've tried restarting it, hard resetting it, etc. but nothing seems to fix it. I've also noticed that it's heating up a lot more and the battery drains faster.
Details on the update:
One UI version: 6.1.1
Release date: 09/07/2024
Android Security Patch Level: September 1, 2024
Software Version: UP1A.231005.00.F741USQS1AXHC
From what I've found online, a lot of people are having similar issues, especially related to the newest update. Some people have been getting it fixed after bringing it to repair stores or sending it in, but some had to pay after their warranty wasn't accepted even though the problem isn't related to damage. I want to avoid paying to fix this since it is 100% a manufacturing/software defect. It's especially ridiculous that a brand new phone is having such huge problems after only 1 month of regular use.
Does anyone have any suggestions for fixes to try before bringing it to a store or sending it in to Samsung?
