Google Play store won't update

I had an s24 ultra before this and it would not update the Play store after I did a factory reset it said September of 25 before I did the factory set on the s24 ultra after I did a factory reset then it said July 1st of of 25 if I could never get it to update so I traded it in and I got the z flip 7 because I wanted to upgrade to something newer and this one does the same thing is still says July 1st 2025 and the software up they just updated today to November 1st 2025 is there something I'm doing wrong on this phone I tried clearing the catch and the data on the Play stores and everything and it still will not update if anybody knows what I'm doing Ron please let me know thank you

It's not the Play Store that won't update. It's Play system, which is different. That update comes from Google and there's nothing you can do to force it. There appears to be an issue with some Google services updating on One UI 8/Android 16. As you can see in my screenshot, I'm also stuck on the July 1 Play system update. All we can do is wait for Google to fix their mess. The update will (hopefully) eventually come.

I got the November update for the security but still nothing for the Google Play store update as you stated I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something I did wrong for a setting but my cheap moto phone got the update which it doesn't make much sense to be honest

This is completely on Google. Feels like they're scr3wing over Samsung users. My OnePlus 13 got the Play system update but my Samsung devices are behind.

Thank you I'll have to wait until Google sends out an update just thought I'd check and see if there's something I did wrong. I appreciate it.

samsung is on this too they delay updates like crazy

dont hold your breath or loose sleep on that they are focussed on the s 26 series and z 8 flip and fold on the drawing board in early 2026 and a ui 8.5 or ui 9 ya both will fail and samsung will be a failed flagship soon..just my opinion..and I hope they do

@Mujibar I opened the Google Play Services app just now and there was an update for November. I opened it to the Play Store.

Good news! Maybe Google is starting to fix things.

I just updated Play services and still don't have a Play system update. Which device do you have? Did you also get the November security patch?

I have the A36 and I haven't received the November security patch yet.
