Fold 7 Speaker

Does anyone think the fold 7 speaker is garbage? Or sounds like garbage?

If you came from an S25 Ultra they're definitely a downgrade. The speakers on the Fold7 are terrible. For a $2,000 phone you would think they would be the best.

It's a THIN FOLDABLE, you really weren't expecting amazing speakers were you?

The 16 pro is twice as thick as the Z Fold 7 unfolded. If you want amazing speakers, the Fold isn't for you.
There are trade offs to how that amazingly thin phone, speakers are 1.

Everyone's audio perception is different, so the sounds of the speakers would be totally subjective.  Also, although I agree that if you pay a lot of money for a device, you would expect better than average speakers, however, I think some people are expecting symphony hall sound from the tiny speakers that there is space for in the phones.

I think they are not concentrating on the audiophile users and I would hope the audiophiles are not expecting a whole lot out of phone speakers.  In a time period where external speakers and headphones with higher audio quality are available, I think Samsung feels that's what people will use.  Something did change in the last update though, and I have noticed a noticeable difference in the both the quality of the sound and the volume on my A54.   I never expected the highest quality sound, but I must admit that when I first used the phone's speakers after I bought it, I was very impressed with the audio quality and the volume. I have had to actually lower the system and notification sounds at first, now I have to keep them all the way up.  I don't think I've had a major hearing deficit in the overnight between the old OS and the new one.

Poster, has the thinnest phone in the world what do they expect from something that thin?

I don't know how anyone would expect premium sound out of the thin, flat speakers in *any* phone. Which is why I am always pleasantly surprised when the sound is better than a megaphone in a crowd. I don't think even Koss or Bose could do it.
