I learned the difficult lesson today regarding 5% restocking fee on returning un-opened fold 7 within 15 days.
Here are the facts.
1. I placed one order on 11/23, and 3 Orders on 11/25 on Fold 7. Why? Price dropped after I placed the orders. The amount fluctuated due to combination promotion discount, workplace discount, and free Samsung VIP Advantage/Samsung Care+ - 2 Yr Plan. I was only able to cancel one order during this journey.
2. I screen recorded my online ordering process around 4 pm, 11/28/2025. I also searched Restocking on each page during the order process. Nothing showed up. I searched "return". Easy Return below the order summary and the Return hyperlink at the bottom showed up. But there is no place mentioning restocking until you take one more step and click into the Learn more.
Here is my reaction and research.
1. Apple, OnePlus, Google, and Motorola don't charge restocking fee if returning an unopened phone within mentioned deadlines. Best Buy even selling an unlock version of Samsung fold 7 doesn't have restocking fee. I could be wrong. Feel free to challenge.
2. I was somewhat misled about the "Easy Return" wording below the order summary. Based on my prior experience, it was easy without fee. There is a fee now but not explicitly mentioned nor reminded.
Dear Samsung: I am very disappointed from this latest experience after buying fold phone every year since fold 4, plus a few other watches, tablets, TV, refrigerators, and an ecosystem of SmartThing mesh routers with 40+ devices.
