My S24 ultra with the new update does not have the digital assistant gesture to bring it up from the corner of my screen, instead it suggest using my power button?

Is this a bug or is it hiding somewhere?

I have a S23 FE and that has the feature

Anyone else have this issue?

Ot has been removed. Now you have to activate it using the power button or by voice command

Several posts about this gesture getting removed.

Samsung please bring the gesture back. We should be able to activate Google Assistant /Gemini via the power button and the gesture. Both are useful.

They remove a lot of posts on purpose. I told a Samsung mod on here that. I don't know why they do except because they don't want some things said and I don't get why they don't care about their customers and what they want or say. If you are in the USA you should get the stable version on the 10th and hopefully everything will be fixed. If it's not the next phone I get will be a pixel. They have the same size as S24 ultra which is the model I have. Nothing about Samsung beta impressed me and I lost all my trust in the company. They are now talking about they don't know when the slim is coming out. No concrete answers from them ever about anything. I said quite a bit to a mod in another forum so anyone thinking about saying anything negative don't waste your time. I don't care. I already told a representative from Samsung quite a bit because I stand up for what I believe in and what I believe is right. A few people are negative and like to say unnecessary things. If you want to waste your time you won't get a response. If I told a forum mod off why would I care about a nobody in here saying something negative? Talk your talk if you want to. You didn't tell any mods the truth about everything when they keep giving the same generic answers from the beginning. They lied to us from December on. So I hope the stable version fixes all the problems people are having but I have my doubts.

The new way to get the assistant is to hold down the side button for Gemini "Assistant". It works really good actually. The was I had it set before was to hold side button for the power menu. Now to get the power menu u just have to hold the Side Button and Volume Down key together to get the power menu. Cheers. šŸ‘ŠšŸ»āœŒšŸ»

Some of us already use the side button shortcut for other things like flashlight and camera - Samsung needs to bring it back as there was no reason to take it away in the first place.

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback.

In the current Beta version, the gesture to launch the digital assistant (by swiping from the bottom corner) has been removed and replaced with the power button long-press as the default method to activate your assistant. This change is intentional, though we understand it may feel like a step back for users who found the swipe gesture intuitive.

While your Galaxy S23 FE (non-Beta) may still support the swipe gesture, this functionality is currently not available on Beta software. Weā€™ve shared this feedback with our development team, and we truly appreciate your input as we continue refining the One UI experience.

If youā€™d like to see this feature return, we encourage you to submit an official suggestion via the Samsung Members app under Beta Feedback

Regards,
One UI Beta Team
