Unable to pay using Google Wallet or Samsung Wallet

Anyone experiencing issues with nfc payments? Time to pay function is not working I can almost always reproduce continuously. After opening the payment app payment does not go through unless NFC is turned off and on. It sure seems to be consistent across Google pay of Samsung pay.

Google pay has been failing for me at times, didn't dawn on me that it could be the beta program, I haven't tried Samsung pay

Most payment apps, and many banking apps, will not work on any firmware except the official, signed firmware. Since beta firmware is unsigned testing firmware, you can expect them to not work.

This issue was raised earlier. I was pleasantly surprised that my Google wallet has been working normally with all my payment cards. In previous betas, they never worked, so that was a concern for me when I joined this beta.

Have tried clearing cache in wallet and NFC?

Wallet first, you know how to do.

NFC a little more difficult to access. Go to settings apps, in the area I have circled tap on it, toggle on System apps, type in the search area NFC, open it go to storage and clear cache. This should help with you problems.

Never had an issue with Samsung wallet in any of the betas since the note 20. This is the 1st time, though, that Google wallet worked in the beta too. Granted, 99% of what I pay with is with Samsung wallet.

1. Clear Cache and Data for the Wallet App:

Go to Settings > Apps > [Your Payment App] > Storage.

Tap Clear Cache and, if necessary, Clear Data.

Relaunch the app and reattempt the payment.

 

2. Clear Cache for the NFC System App:

Open Settings > Apps.

Tap the menu (three dots or filter icon) and toggle on Show System Apps.

Search for NFC, then open it.

Go to Storage > Clear Cache.

 

3. Restart Your Device: Once both caches are cleared, restarting your phone can ensure the changes take effect.

These steps often resolve issues with app compatibility during beta testing. If the issue persists, please consider reporting it through the Samsung Members app so our team can investigate further.
