Quick panel pulled down

In One UI 8, Samsung hid status bar icons like Bluetooth, NFC, Alarm, etc from the status bar. In order to see them you have to pull down the Quick panel. Samsung said they did this to "reduce" clutter on the status bar.

I absolutely HATE that someone at Samsung decided for all Samsung users that useful status bar icons are "clutter." Now, when I look at my phone's STATUS bar, I can't actually see information about its STATUS, because all the icons have been hidden.

When I'm connecting my Bluetooth headphones, I need to know if my Bluetooth is on. That information is not "clutter." The whole point is for you to see the information with a single glance. Now, you have to take an additional action (swipe down) in order to see this information.

At the very least, this should have been made optional, so that people who don't want to see status bar icons on their status bar (for some reason??) can turn them off, but allow the rest of us to use the status bar for its actually purpose: showing the STATUS of the phone.

It seems that in One UI 8.5, the same design mentality is being maintained and it frustrates me to no end. This is a further step towards being more like Apple, where the manufacturer makes decisions for the users.

To some people, all that useful information is "clutter." People seem to care more about aesthetics than function. In any case, stuff like this used to be handled by making it an option to allow everyone to customize the phone to their liking. Now Samsung seems to be focusing more on removing features instead of adding customization options.

Yeah they messed up with the Now Bar as well, it takes up the room on the left side of the status bar that other app notifications should have when it could fit between the selfie camera cutout and the WiFi/Network icon (which is apparently useless space at this point). If I don't have the Now Bar enabled, I have to double swipe down just to be able to pause the currently playing media.

I'm not sure what Samsung plans on doing with the space, but right now its literally doing nothing. A very useless change.
