Scrolling through locations on Google Maps is jittery

Scrolling through search results in maps is so laggy feels like 10FPS screen.

I've always had issues with this app, but no one seems to address them. A big one for me is when you enter a location and the top box animation play twice over itself. Drives me mad.

Never faced that. But the scrolling bug is present when using maps in incognito.

Nope. I am not in beta. On general public release versions.

Another issue I have with a different Google app is on YouTube, the splash screen for the app is always in Light mode despite my phone always being on Dark mode, so it is jarring for my eyes when I open the app. It's been like that for years, and I don't know why.

I guess you might set YouTube appearance preference to light mode. Check the general settings in the YouTube app. Make sure to select the use device theme.
