Past 2 days battery on my s24 ultra been draining extremely fast .and when i look up where I used my battery. The math doesn't add up at all . I am missing 30% battery I have no clue where it went. And this morning I unplugged my s24 ultra from the wall it was 100% battery 20 min later it dropped to 85% . And 5 min later to 75% and 10 min later to 60%. . I don't know if one ui 7 has anything to do with it.

Same with my S24U, definitely some drain going on with the beta. Hopefully, this can be resolved in the next update.

I would also suggest looking to see if any apps you use often are not showing up on the battery usage information.

In the past, especially when it is an Android version upgrade and not just a one ui upgrade, some apps aren't built to use the new Android version yet and get "wake lock" and never go to sleep and drain the battery.

Just to try to help Samsung troubleshoot the issue.

I believe on the s20 beta it was related to the camera not sleeping and you could stop the drain by rebooting after you used the camera until they patched it.

But I know it has been 3rd party apps as well in the past.

Mine was fantastic until today. Today it had bad drain like 10% per hour even if it wasn't in use.

Seems like the wifi is getting wake lock.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your experience. Rapid battery drain is a known issue during beta testing, and it’s often linked to several factors inherent to beta software, including:

1. Incompatible App Optimization: Apps may not yet be fully optimized for the new One UI 7 beta, causing increased background activity.
2. High RAM Usage: Background processes or system tasks may be consuming more resources than usual.
3. System Debugging and Logs: Beta versions often run diagnostic processes in the background to collect data for performance improvements, which can impact battery life.

Here are a few steps you can try to help improve battery performance:
1. Clear Cache for Problematic Apps:

Go to Settings > Apps, find apps that may be draining battery, and clear their cache.

2. Check Battery Usage:

Go to Settings > Battery and Device Care > Battery > Usage Details to identify apps consuming excessive power. If you find apps you rarely use consuming high battery, try putting them to sleep or restricting their background activity.

3. Restart Your Device:

Restarting can help resolve temporary performance issues.

4. Use Power Saving Mode:

Enable Power Saving Mode from the quick settings panel to limit background processes temporarily.

5. Report the Issue:

If the issue persists, please submit a bug report via the Samsung Members app. This will provide the development team with diagnostic data to address these issues in future updates.

Keep in mind that beta software is designed for testing and feedback, so these issues are expected and typically resolved in later builds. We appreciate your patience and valuable input as Samsung works to optimize One UI 7.

Regards,
One UI Beta Team
