3rd Party Apps Need to start taking One UI seriously. I know in the Playstore, their designs are generalized for all android devices, and that's the problem. One UI is starting to move in its own direction with each passing major update and opting to embrace the 'one size fits all' services just doesn't feel appropriate anymore.

There's a lot of very popular apps that have a slight awkwardness and bugs in their design like Instagram, YouTube, and Spotify that aren't very fitting for how One UI functions and presents itself.

I don't know how this change could begin to play out, if Samsung has to reach out to and incentivize individual developers to start releasing 'For One Ui' apps on the galaxy store, just like they make 'For IOS' apps on Apple's app store.

Something major like that going down could heavily improve the day to day experience on the apps most people use.

It's primarily an issue of incentives. It simply does not make good financial sense for companies to pour resources into specified app development for Samsung devices, which make up 24% of US Market share, when iOS devices make up 52% of US market share.

It would have to be an investment on Samsung's part to get these versions made. All in all, a move like this would be sure to enhance user experience and boost One Ui's attractiveness in the market to the average consumer. If that's the direction the One Ui is going in, it would only make sense to position itself as a worthy competitor to iOS in the US.

Hello,

Your point about the growing divergence of One UI from a generalized Android design is well-taken. Samsung has been innovating with One UI to deliver a distinct and tailored experience, and itā€™s natural for users to expect that third-party apps integrate more seamlessly with this vision.

One of the challenges, as you pointed out, is that many developers design for a broad Android audience, which can result in apps that feel slightly out of sync with One UIā€™s design language and functionality.

Your suggestion could indeed elevate the overall experience for Galaxy users. Itā€™s an idea worth exploring, and we appreciate you sharing it. If you'd like, consider bringing this feedback directly to Samsung through the official forums or developer outreach channelsā€”itā€™s voices like yours that help shape the future.

Regards,

One UI Beta Team
