Anymore have any experience at the Ubreakit on West 96th street in Manhattan?

Edit: Problem diagnosed, corroded USB port!

Never in water, HUMIDITY for 2 weeks corroded my port, no salt air. Just NYC weather. This should not happen to a $1300 phone, let alone a phone that is 6 months old. The repair guy was very nice, looked in the port, said another Samsung phone that can't take HUMIDITY!

Advice to the wise, get a USB plug for you device!

Also the manager gave someone a 10% discount for the phone repair , I think the repair cost was over $400.

You can also get an OtterBox(yes more expensive) that has a built in "Dust Cover" that will protect the charge port. You can also try and see if you can find a Samsung LifeProof case that is waterproof.

I bet it is from being inside environments with air conditioning, like for hours with the device sitting in the open being cooled to room temperature. Then venturing outside into very warm/hot humid conditions will cause a sudden build up of condensation. It is like having AC on in a car with high humidity and the windows begin to get condensation of them quickly. Over many instances of that happening would lead to that.

If you purchase a phone case with a plug on the case for the port, be very picky. I have used two and the plugs never stayed in because of the hinge parts of the plugs were as thick as the phone cases were, and that tension makes for the plug tab to want to pop back out.

Yes, the Tech confirmed it was humidity. He did 3 S25u on the samed day. The guy in front of me had the same exact problem. $1300 phone should have a better quality USB port.

Probably a corroded USB port corrected your phone,if that makes sense
