All you folks jumping on Samsung for only allowing T-Mobile ultra watches to join the beta is very presumptive.

Back when carriers pushed updates when and if they wanted, updates were very patchwork but, part of the issue was that carriers didnt want potentially unknown software operating on their networks.

Sprint and T-Mobile, were usually the first in the US to push updates because they worked more closely with some manufacturers.

Now with manufacturers pushing updates, though still with carrier permissions, things are a little cleaner.

However, carriers still dont like unknowns.
Most of them would probably prefer to just avoid beta software entirely but users will push the issue i think.

Im not sure, but I would guess that Samsung would love to test your watch on a carrier other than T-Mobile but they said no, for now.

I always get my stuff straight from Samsung. I've never had an account on my watch, but I did the beta thing last year and got the software. Same deal this year I've got the Watch Ultra, joined the beta, but can't download the software. What's up with that?

T-Mobile doesn't sell the Ultra at all, so there's no specific TMo version. They're all unlocked and can be used on TMo, but others have said that they have an active line and still no update. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Hello,

Thank you for participating in the One UI Watch Beta program.

Weโ€™ve noticed several inquiries regarding not receiving the Beta software update. Please note the following important eligibility criteria:

LTE Models (Watch with Mobile Network)
To receive the Beta update, your Watch must have an active T-Mobile data plan.
If the SIM is not activated or the device is not currently using T-Mobileโ€™s mobile network, the software update will not be delivered.

Bluetooth (Watch BT models, not just BT paired with Phone) Models
Bluetooth-only models are not affected and will receive the Beta software update as usual. No SIM or mobile plan is required.

If youโ€™ve enrolled in the Beta but havenโ€™t received the update yet, please ensure your Watch meets the conditions above.

We appreciate your feedback and participation.

Regards,
One UI Beta Team
