DiscussionsRegarding the recent delays and feature requests:
Is complete eradication of software defects in a release truly attainable?
Community feedback during the beta program has focused heavily on the anticipated launch date for flagship devices, with less emphasis on reported software defects.
Beta release 4, incorporating two hotfix patches, demonstrates significant stability. Minor post-release issues can be addressed through Samsung's established monthly security update process.
Furthermore, Samsung has yet to provide an update on the status of features such as Audio Eraser and Now Briefing. Will the S24U flagship include these features, and if so, would this necessitate an extension of the testing phase? This justification appears more compelling than the current explanation.
Additional feature enhancement requests include:
Relocating the Media Player control from the quick panel settings to live notifications.
Replacing the large scrolling settings button at the bottom of the quick panel with a more concise icon.
Implementing a color-coded battery indicator (green, yellow, red) to reflect battery levels.
These represent a subset of the outstanding feature requests.

DiscussionsHello @Nikolas9264,
Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful post. Your passion for Samsung products and dedication to improving the One UI experience are truly appreciated. We hear you and are fascinated to read all of your community posts 😃.
We understand the frustration some users feel when it seems like their feedback isn’t being prioritized unless there’s widespread demand. User insights are incredibly valuable, and we want to assure you that your suggestions are reviewed and considered as part of ongoing development discussions.
Please find below commentaries on your invaluable suggestions to this Beta program!
Adaptive Power Saving: A Smarter Approach
Your idea of making Adaptive Power Saving more dynamic and activity-based is a compelling suggestion. A system that adjusts power-saving behaviors based on real-time usage patterns could significantly improve efficiency and customization. We will ensure that this feedback is shared with the relevant teams for evaluation.
App Lock: Enhancing Security & Privacy
The ability to lock individual apps with biometric authentication has been a frequently requested feature. Security and privacy remain top priorities, and while Samsung provides solutions like Secure Folder, we recognize the demand for a built-in, system-wide App Lock feature. Your feedback reinforces the importance of this functionality, and we will continue to pass these requests along.
One UI 7 Rollout & Software Support
We acknowledge the concerns regarding One UI 7 rollout delays for existing devices. While newer models like the Galaxy S25 series launched with One UI 7, ensuring a stable and optimized experience across all supported devices requires additional testing and refinements. As for speculation about skipping incremental updates like One UI 7.1, no official announcements have been made yet. Samsung remains committed to long-term software support, and we encourage users to refer to official channels for accurate update timelines.
A Commitment to User-Centric Development
We hear you—and we understand the desire for greater transparency, feature prioritization, and more direct engagement with the user community. Your feedback plays a crucial role in shaping One UI, and we encourage users to continue submitting detailed reports through Samsung Members > Beta Feedback > Suggestions to ensure they reach the right teams.
We truly appreciate your insights and your dedication to helping improve One UI for all users. Thank you for being part of the Samsung Beta community, and we look forward to continued discussions and enhancements in future updates!
Regards,
One UI Beta Team
