As a long-time Samsung user and active participant in the Samsung Beta Forums, I feel compelled to address a recurring concern within our community: the perception that user feedback is often overlooked unless there's significant demand. This sentiment has led to growing frustration among loyal users who feel their valuable insights are not being adequately considered.

Adaptive Power Saving Feature: A Call for True Adaptiveness

One notable example is the Adaptive Power Saving feature. Currently, this feature toggles power-saving mode based on the system's assumptions about our needs. However, many users, including myself, envision a more intelligent system—one that dynamically adjusts specific power-saving settings based on real-time activities. For instance:

Browsing: The system could reduce background processes and lower screen brightness to conserve battery.

Gaming: It could prioritize performance while implementing power-saving measures like activating dark mode and adjusting brightness levels.

This level of customization would significantly enhance user satisfaction by aligning the device's behavior with individual usage patterns. Despite numerous suggestions advocating for this improvement, it appears that the feature remains underdeveloped.

App Lock Functionality: Addressing Security and Privacy Needs

Another frequently discussed topic is the ability to lock individual apps using biometric authentication. This feature is crucial for users who wish to safeguard sensitive information without resorting to third-party applications. While the demand for such a feature is evident, its absence in recent updates suggests a disconnect between user needs and development priorities.

One UI 7 Release Delays: Impact on User Trust

Furthermore, the delayed rollout of One UI 7 has been a source of disappointment. The Galaxy S25 series received the update promptly, but many older models continue to await their turn. This delay not only affects device performance but also erodes trust in Samsung's commitment to timely software support. Recent reports indicate that Samsung might even skip incremental updates like One UI 7.1, moving directly to One UI 8.0 . Such moves raise concerns about the company's dedication to addressing user feedback and improving existing features.

A Plea for Genuine User-Centric Development

As dedicated users, we invest in Samsung products not just for their hardware excellence but also for the promise of a responsive and evolving software experience. It's disheartening when features that could significantly enhance our daily interactions are overlooked, and when updates that address our concerns are delayed or deprioritized.

I urge the development team to:

Prioritize features that users have consistently requested, ensuring that enhancements genuinely reflect our needs.

Provide transparent timelines and updates regarding software rollouts, especially for existing devices.

Engage more actively with the community, considering our feedback not just as suggestions but as integral to the product development process.

By aligning development efforts with user expectations, Samsung can reinforce its reputation as a brand that truly listens and adapts to its user base.

Regarding the recent delays and feature requests:

Is complete eradication of software defects in a release truly attainable?

Community feedback during the beta program has focused heavily on the anticipated launch date for flagship devices, with less emphasis on reported software defects.

Beta release 4, incorporating two hotfix patches, demonstrates significant stability. Minor post-release issues can be addressed through Samsung's established monthly security update process.

Furthermore, Samsung has yet to provide an update on the status of features such as Audio Eraser and Now Briefing. Will the S24U flagship include these features, and if so, would this necessitate an extension of the testing phase? This justification appears more compelling than the current explanation.

Additional feature enhancement requests include:

Relocating the Media Player control from the quick panel settings to live notifications.

Replacing the large scrolling settings button at the bottom of the quick panel with a more concise icon.

Implementing a color-coded battery indicator (green, yellow, red) to reflect battery levels.

These represent a subset of the outstanding feature requests.

I agree with the media player, audio eraser and Now Brief but the battery icon suggestion you made sounds a bit outdated to me and doesn’t sound very modern.
