Day 1 review

This ends my day 1 with oneui 8 on galaxy s24U. So far pretty good.

Not noticed much of a change, the U.I. seems a bit more snappier and appa are running more smoothly. Other then that, it seems like a refresh of oneui 7 with some added tweeks to the cpu/gpu. 

Will report back in about a week and see if my review changes. 🖖🏻

I 2nd that. Everything seems stable and responsive. Not seeing any noticeable change in the UI.
Expert Raw is not working. It says an update is available but when I click the update button, it says content not available in the Galaxy store yet. If I hit the Not Now button, the app closes.

Same for me regarding Expert raw app. Not pleased that it doesn't work at all if not updated which you can't do.

The buttons in the UI are larger and more pronounced on the quick panel, notifications and now bar live notifications on the lock screen.

Seems more refined and snappier overall. 8 is really meant to be just that a refinement and not an overhaul.

My hope was greater battery efficiency. The jury is still out on that one. In a very short amount of time of usage the phone went from 100% to now 92%.
Typical Samsung algorithm where the first 10% of battery drops rapidly. Other devices don't do this. Will see how the daily usage fairs.

The stat says 9% battery usage in 43 minutes. That is not only excessive but wrong. 92% battery remaining is 8% battery usage. Still excessive. Granted, I'm outside and the brightness is cranked up pretty high.
Expecting usage to level out throughout the day.

I also looked at Galaxy Guardians and Battery Tracker.
System UI is in the top battery usage. Either this has always been the case and now Samsung is being more transparent with battery usage or the system UI usage has increased with Oneui8.

Same here too so far. Battery feels just about the same. I've been loving the new 90/10 mode though
